If I happen to attend some party, wedding or event, part of the lunch or dinner that I prefer most of all is the 'APPETIZER: better if served in buffet and finger food.
All those little tidbits and gracious lined up on the tables are so beautiful and inviting .... if dishes served ufsc a la carte in small portions, are pleasant to see and that is going down a treat!
When I have some dinner with friends, I also like to serve home four, five finger food savory bring to the table a unique dish and vegetables and conclude with two, three finger food desserts.
